The fabulous Eye Candy opened it’s doors in 2010, and is literally a one-stop shop when it comes to buying gifts – you can purchase greetings cards, wrapping paper and an array of wonderful gift ideas. Laura stocks unique, quality items for every age group and price range, so there’s plenty to choose from. You’ll find Eye Candy at 15 High Street – which many of us Thurso folk fondly remember as Gunn’s Shoe Shop (or Angus Butchers, if you’re of a certain age...).

What really makes Eye Candy stand out though, is the ‘Caithness Corner,’ where Laura showcases a selection of amazing products made right here in the county. So, by shopping at Eye Candy, you’re helping support more than one local business. Here in Caithness, we have some amazingly talented makers in our midst, so you’ll never be stuck for choice when it comes to buying gifts and shopping local.

   Shopping at the Caithness Corner makes it much simpler to check out lots of different items from different sellers, as well as find out more about

each seller. Currently, you’ll find (amongst other things) jewellery, artwork, cards, cushions, glasses, keyrings, wall hangings, candles and mugs from around 30 local designers, makers and artists. Stock is updated regularly, and new makers are introduced, so each time you pop in, you’ll discover something different on the shelves. Eye Candy is open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am – 5pm Saturday. Covid measures are in place, so you can shop safely. Pop in and say hi to Laura and her friendly staff, and make a start on your Christmas shopping!
